BBC Children In Need

November 14, 2017

Friday 17th November will be a special day where our school will be wearing spotty themed Mufti and hosting a ‘Spotacular Bake-Off’ in order to raise money for Children In Need.

The School council have been very busy contributing ideas about how to raise money for Children in need and designing posters to advertise around the school.

Here is just one story about a little boy called Max to explain the reasons why we support Children In Need:

Please contribute by baking some delicious spotty cakes and encouraging your child to come dressed in spotty clothes.

Anti-bullying Week

November 14, 2017

Yesterday Mrs Winspear held a worship for anti-bullying week.

Pupils wore their beautiful anti-bullying capes which were decorated with all of the special things unique to them. The whole school looked brilliant so well done and thank you for making so much effort!

We thought about how we treat others as well as how others treat us and Mrs Winspear showed us a special treasure box. Inside was something unique and special and told us there is only one in the world. Can you guess what it was?

A mirror to show our reflection! As we are all special and important and there is only one of us.

A big well done to the school council who performed ‘The day the crayons came home’. It is a fantastic story all about how a little boy treats his pencils.

At WFPS we are all proud to be part of such a special family who look out for each other.

Welcome back!

January 8, 2016

Welcome back! We hope you have had a joyful and fun holiday and are ready to have fun, be sensible and are ready to learn.

This term we are focusing on growth mindset. Growth mindset is when you try your best to believe that you CAN do lots of things even if you can’t do them YET! With a growth mindset you help others and celebrate their successes. Let’s try our best to have a great attitude to learning and climb the staircase, because we can do it!

Mrs Stone has also launched the Golden Mile Challenge this week. We would like you to participate in Mrs Stone’s challenge and run round the netball court as many times as possible. This well help you keep fit and you can earn certificates too. Can you help us to run enough miles to reach the Olympics?

The School Council.
